Anyone else seen this happen to their laptop?

Isn't youtube great. It's a Dell XPS laptop, the display does this wierd tearing thing like it can't determine the refresh rate of the display. It happens occasionally on Windows, normally in a game when switching display modes. It happens with annoying regularity on Linux under XGL/Compiz, which leads me to the belief that it's a driver problem.

From the looks of it, either the LCD cable is loose or bad, or the LCD panel itself has failed or is failing. If you haven't already contacted tech support about it, I would be more than happy to do what I can to get things corrected.

It looks like it was a driver problem after all. Once I got the latest linux drivers I've not experienced this problem once. I'm no longer playing the game that caused the issue under Windows (splinter cell Double Agent), and even with that I think it was caused by the driver version that I had
